Seasoned Kubernetes Solutions Architect

United States, must be able to work EST or CST hours. Remote or On-site (Flexible)

As Backend Developer, your primary focus will be development of all serverless backend logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.

You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by your coworkers into the application. A basic understanding of front-end technologies is therefore necessary as well.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Build, architect, and maintain one or more Kubernetes clusters with multiple microservices in a production setting.
  2. Review existing applications and understand the architecture to provide effective solutions.
  3. Provide guidance on best practices for building Kubernetes clusters, including deployment tools, auto-scaling, disaster recovery, and zero downtime strategies.
  4. Research and recommend optimal options for transitioning existing code to run within a Kubernetes environment.
  5. Implement monitoring, error handling, and debugging mechanisms within the Kubernetes cluster.
  6. Collaborate with various development teams to assist in the implementation of their microservices within the Kubernetes cluster.
  7. Effectively communicate with multiple teams and team leads to ensure seamless integration.
  8. Work closely with customers deploying the Kubernetes cluster to provide ongoing maintenance and support.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Extensive experience in building, architecting, and maintaining Kubernetes clusters in production environments on multiple Cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, and GCP.
  • Solid understanding of Kubernetes best practices and tools used for deployment, auto-scaling, disaster recovery, and zero downtime.
  • Proven expertise in reviewing applications and providing architecture guidance.
  • Strong background in coding and experience with converting existing code to run within a Kubernetes cluster.
  • Proficiency in setting up monitoring, error handling, and debugging functionalities within Kubernetes clusters.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience working with customers in a support and maintenance capacity is a plus.
