If you haven’t noticed, every SaaS product is becoming an analytics product. SaaS users expect a self-service analytics experience to make data-driven decisions.

There is a huge opportunity to add value with your analytics experience — it improves customer happiness, and drives engagement and stickiness. Which is why leading SaaS companies leverage embedded analytics as a means to meet the changing data needs of their customer base.

The problem is most general purpose BI solutions can’t keep up with the unique needs of a multi-tenant SaaS business, especially one with a multi-cloud strategy. That’s why Qrvey exists, we understand the unique challenges SaaS companies face when embedding analytics into their product offering. We’ve been solving these challenges since 2016, and we’re committed to continuously innovating the analytics experience for our partners to pass on to their customers.

We’re also committed to simplifying embedded analytics by reducing friction (and costs) for SaaS product teams. Qrvey offers insight for your customers, agility for your product team and growth for your business. And we’re celebrating another milestone with our latest product release: Qrvey 9!

Allow us to introduce… Qrvey 9

We’re excited to announce the release of Qrvey version 9, a major update that delivers a transformative boost to our embedded analytics platform. This release introduces a new containerized Kubernetes architecture and multi-cloud deployment options, alongside a completely unified dashboard experience packed with powerful new features.

From improved cost stability and performance at scale, to richer customizations and sharing capabilities, Qrvey 9 empowers organizations to take their analytics to the next level. Below, we outline the key enhancements in Qrvey 9 and why you need to see it for yourself.

Kubernetes Architecture for Performance and Multi‑Cloud Freedom

One of the most significant changes in Qrvey 9 is an architectural shift from AWS serverless functions to a containerized (Kubernetes) model. This gives customers “unparalleled control, flexibility, and portability” in how they deploy our platform. In practical terms, this means you are no longer locked into a single cloud or constrained by the unpredictability of server-less scaling. Qrvey 9 supports multi-platform hosting across AWS and Azure.

The result is greater cost stability – you can allocate resources to avoid surprise usage fees – and consistent high performance for large workloads, as containers ensure analytics processes are always ready to handle demand. In short, Qrvey’s new cloud-agnostic, containerized architecture lets you deploy and scale analytics on your terms, while maintaining the reliability and speed that mission-critical applications require.

“Multi-tenant self-service analytics is not a use case for Qrvey, it is our mission,” said Arman Eshraghi, CEO and Founder of Qrvey. “Now with multi-cloud support and even more powerful self-service analytics with AI-driven insights, Qrvey stands apart as the most capable analytics platform designed specifically for SaaS companies to deploy to their customers.”

Support for Databricks

Qrvey 9 also expands the platform’s integration capabilities. In addition to an already rich set of data connectors (including SQL databases, NoSQL stores, and cloud data warehouses), Qrvey 9 adds native support for Databricks as a connection type. This new connector joins the roster of supported sources like SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Amazon Redshift, Snowflake and more.

An All-New Dashboard Experience

Qrvey 9 introduces a brand-new, unified dashboard that consolidates what used to be separate “dashboard builder” and “dashboard view” widgets into one. All the tools for designing, configuring, and viewing dashboards are now seamlessly integrated for a smoother workflow.

  • End-users can now build dashboards directly in embedded environments.
  • A built-in Chart Gallery lets you browse and drop in existing charts with ease.
  • One-Click Applications launch a full, navigable analytics app — no embed or setup required. Great for demos or testing how dashboards behave in the wild.
  • Dashboard Personalization lets users rearrange, resize, or hide dashboard elements — all saved to their view, without affecting anyone else.
  • Enhanced Actions: Analytics are far more valuable when they are interactive. There are now more functionalities within a number of action types and a streamlined configuration UI/UX.
  • Dashboard Filters: A number of improvements were made to the filters, including new options and consistent styles for filter controls.
  • Self-Service Options: You control what your dashboard’s end-users can do chart by chart. Empower them with more ways to safely explore their data, or keep it structured.
  • Customization Object: A new JSON config to replace the Feature Permission object. This config lets you show, hide, or modify any part of the UI. Theme it, lock it down, adjust configs with conditional logic, or adapt it based on roles or branding. Fully white-label ready. Build exactly what your end-users need, and nothing they don’t.
  • Legacy Dashboard Import: We understand that many customers have extensive content built in Qrvey’s “8.x” legacy dashboards. Upgrading to Qrvey 9 is designed to preserve your past work. The Composer Dashboards page offers an “Import Legacy Dashboard” option that will automatically clone and import your existing v8 dashboards into the new v9 system. Your old dashboards remain intact (so there’s no risk in importing). Once imported, simply reconfigure any embeds or API calls to point to the new dashboards when you’re ready to cut over.

Enhanced Multi-Tenant Self-Service Analytics
Qrvey 9 introduces a completely unified dashboard experience designed for today’s multi-tenant SaaS environments. With new Dataset Views, a SaaS customer’s end users can define metrics, perform calculations, pivot data, and create personalized dashboards. This level of self-service analytics sets a new benchmark for flexibility and customization.

Streamlined Ownership & Sharing Model

Collaboration and governance of analytics content have been re-imagined in Qrvey 9 with a new ownership and sharing model. Each dashboard now has a clear owner (the user who created it) and is by default private to that owner.

Owners can explicitly share a dashboard with other Qrvey Composer users, roles, or even an entire organization as needed – ensuring that sensitive analytics are used and/or edited by intended audiences. This provides much finer control than before – for example, you can let a department head tweak a dashboard’s design (Edit access) while other team members only consume and personalize it (Use access).

This makes it easy to collaborate on analytics content while maintaining appropriate oversight. Importantly, this ownership & sharing framework can be configured in embedded scenarios as well – when you embed a Qrvey 9 dashboard in your application.

Designers get greater control of who can do what with each dashboard, aligning the platform with enterprise governance needs.

“Qrvey 9 brings to the table some incredible enhancements—the biggest release we’ve seen yet,” said Ryan Quackenbush, Group Product Manager at JobNimbus, a Qrvey customer. “We’re particularly excited about the revamped dashboard creation experience, native dashboard sharing options, dataset creation and subscription improvements. On top of that the snappier/cleaner UI has us absolutely pumped to bring this to our customers.”
