Data Visualization

What is Data Visualization?

Data visualization is the graphic representation of data to present trends, patterns, and anomalies that improves comprehension by data consumers. Visualizations use charts, graphs, shape, size and color to provide context and meaning for users to gain insights at a glance. Examples of visualizations include line, pie and bar charts to more advanced Flash charts, heat maps, text clouds, and layered GIS maps.
