How We Define Embeddable

In the OEM software world, the term embeddable can mean a lot of different things to different people. That’s why we thought it was important to begin our new OEM blog by explaining the many different facets of how we define an embeddable data solution, and what you can expect when choosing Qrvey for your data needs. In its simplest context, embeddable just means software that can be infused into other software. But that’s where the nuance begins.

There’s a big difference between “embeddable” and “easily embeddable.” Qrvey is the latter. We were built from the beginning as an embeddable application, which has a number of benefits for our customers.

First, Qrvey can be used in either frontend or backend systems, or both, thanks to the variety of ways you can work with our platform. We offer a full suite of robust APIs and pre-built widgets that make it easy to put Qrvey right where and when you need us, making us the perfect solution for all your data collection, analytic and automation needs. Qrvey is also perfectly at home working with both cloud and on-premise systems. Everything at Qrvey was also built from the ground up for today’s mobile world, with terrific, responsive designs that look great on any size device.

Qrvey is also fully customizable, something that is often too often overlooked in embedded software decisions. Being customizable means we’ll never look out of place when placed next to your existing content. Fonts, colors and UI elements can be modified for any use case. It also means that Qrvey can be fully whitelabeled to ensure a seamless experience for users.

Flexibility is another core principle at Qrvey, which is why our platform works with all sources, types and sizes of data. Typically, systems that are highly flexible lack performance, but Qrvey is the exception to this rule, offering a highly scalable and performant system that can also handle structured, semi- and unstructured data sets, all at the same time. Our motto is “all data accepted” and we mean it.

There are plenty of other things to consider when choosing embedded software. These include things like security and user management. Does the software support the authentication models and security policies you’re already using? If not, they might not be the best fit for you given the time and effort you’ll have to spend integrating and maintaining it.

Finally, there are important issues like pricing and licensing to consider. Not all embedded systems have licensing models that are scalable and fit with your company’s business model. In fact, some companies have licensing models that don’t even allow embedding. Software vendors need to also consider an OEM provider’s technical roadmap. Are they in alignment with your company’s goals? Are OEM services their core business and source of revenue? If not, they may not be able to provide the level of service you need in the future or you may find their future products and features may no longer be embeddable at all.

An OEM provider who’s not perfectly aligned with your company almost always causes problems down the road. That’s why Qrvey focuses first and foremost on OEM clients, developing close relationships to ensure that we will always be the solution to their data problems.
